We understand how concerning it is when your child isn’t feeling well.
Our pediatric sick visits are designed to provide prompt, compassionate care for children experiencing illness or discomfort. Whether your child has a fever, cough, ear pain, or other symptoms, our experienced providers are here to evaluate, diagnose, and recommend the most appropriate treatment.
Same‑day sick appointments are available Monday through Saturday.

In the event of an emergency, please call 911.
Emergencies are conditions that are life-threatening, such as loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, or seizures.
For minor emergencies like lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, or sprains, please call our office first for instructions.

When can I schedule a sick visit?
We offer same-day sick appointments at our five locations Monday – Friday, as well as a limited number of sick appointments for established patients on Saturday mornings at our Taney Avenue office.
What happens during a sick child visit?
The goal of a sick child visit is to assess, diagnose, and recommend the best treatment option so your child is comfortable and on the road to recovery. In addition to reviewing your child’s symptoms and medical history, a sick visit will include a physical exam of their heart, lungs, neck, throat, and ears.
What conditions can be treated during a sick visit?
Sick visits treat many types of illnesses that need same-day or next-day medical care. Children’s symptoms can change quickly, so don’t hesitate to call if your child’s symptoms get worse.
The following are some of the most common symptoms treated during sick visits:
- Ear pain
- Headaches
- Sore throat
- Congestion/Cough
- Abdominal pain
- Rashes or hives
- Allergic reactions
- Eye discharge or infection
- Vomiting and/or diarrhea
When does my child need same-day medical care?
Some symptoms are warning signs that your child needs immediate medical attention.
Call us if your child exhibits any of the following symptoms:
- Fever of 100.4ºF or higher in children younger than 3 months of age
- Fever of 102ºF or higher for more than 24 hours in children under age 2
- Fever that lasts longer than three days
- Unusual symptoms lasting more than three days
- Persistent pain
- Widespread rash with fever of 102ºF or higher, plus other symptoms, in children over 1 year of age
Additional symptoms that may appear with a fever and signal a potentially serious issue include a rash, stiff neck, vomiting, and headache.
