In Their Words...

What inspired you to work with children?

I was inspired to work with children after being fortunate to have many volunteer opportunities during college and med school working with kids in various organizations. There, I was inspired by their joy, curiosity, resilience, and potential. Once I did my pediatric rotation in med school, I knew this was what I needed to do for the rest of my life.

My secret talent or interesting fact about me:

I’ve always been afraid of heights and avoided roller coasters as a kid. But when my own kids wanted to ride them, I came up with a strategy: the night before a theme park trip, I watch YouTube videos of each ride and plan our day starting with the slowest, lowest ones, working up until I reach my limit. But shhh… don’t tell them my secret!

The best advice you’ve ever received:

Know your limits.

Favorite way to spend a day off?
