In Their Words...
What inspired you to work with children?
I fell in love with pediatrics during my rotation on the heart and kidney unit at CNMC in my undergrad nursing program. The children were so resilient and full of hope despite how sick they were, and it was extremely inspiring. I also love being able to watch my patients grow from infants to young adults and build wonderful relationships with families along the way!
My secret talent or interesting fact about me:
I have backyard chickens, and I have had to nurse many chickens back to health following predator attacks or illnesses- we essentially have a "chicken ICU" in our basement. ☺️
The best advice you’ve ever received:
When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.
Favorite way to spend a day off?
I love to sleep in, spend time outside, read a good book, go on an adventure with my husband and sons, and enjoy a delicious meal that I don't have to cook or clean up.
